William BROADSTOCK/Mary FRYER Berkley (reply)

Hello and thanks for your reply. I don't think the Corse Broadstocks are mine although they take a lot of unpicking. I will follow up the death of William 1866 as its a possibility and the burial of his son William is I think right.

William BROADSTOCK: previous thread (reply)

The information I have is that Eliza Phelps Broadstock was born 07/05/1802 Berkeley and was baptised 02/09/1802 in Newnham while living at Null with parents William Broadstock and Mary (nee Fryer) who married 11/11/1799 Berkeley. Eliza was married in 1823 to George Wooles in Newnham. I think she had a sister Sarah. So whether we have the correct Broadstocks I'm not sure now.

Gloucestershire Baptism Index starts 1813 and there is only one baptism at Berkeley for BROADSTOCK - mother Mary

Elizabeth - 4 September 1814, 5 - mother: Mary (labourer) no father's name.... address: Ham

not sure if it means Elizabeth was age 5

William BROADSTOCK: Berkley

Hello

I'd be grateful if anyone with access to the Berkeley PRs could check for the burial of William Broadstock pre 1851. His wife Mary is a publican in C1841 and a widowed beer-retailer in C1851. He and Mary were married 1799 at Berkley.

Many thanks, Sparkie
