<title>Colin family in Oldcroft 1901+ (reply)</title>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<blockquote><p>I am looking for information on the Colin family in Oldcroft after about 1901. James and Adaline (known as Annie) Colin were married in St Peters Church, Cheltenham in October 1901 and were known to be in Crickhowel in 1904 when their daughter Gladys was born. They were in Oldcroft in 1907 when their son Victor was born and James is on the Electoral Role there for two years. Victor was baptised in Viney Hill Church in November 1907. They are known to live in Cheltenham in 1912. James in known to originate in the Forest and relatives lived in Cinderford, Coleford and Coalway. Of particular interest is where they lived in Oldcroft and what James did for a living.</p>
<p>Any information or research pointers would be much appreciated please.</p>

 James &amp; Adeline are my maternal great grandparents.Adeline was born in Malmesbury Workhouse. Her Mother Ann dies a few days after Adeline was born.<br />
My granmother was the sister of Victor &amp; Gladys Eva Elizabeth Annie Collins was born in 1912 . She was 4 years old when her father James died. i do have a bit more information on Adeline plus a photo of her if you would like it.<br />
  I would be greatful if you have any information on James that you could share with me . We could be cousins<br />

I am not sure about the Lydney connection although I will follow it through but the traveller suggestion could be on the spot and fits with family folk law. Two names there come up in other research.</p>
