Thomas KEAR Lydney - Previous Marriage (General)

In my tree I have Thomas Kear married to Sarah Hughes at Lydney 8/7/1866 it states he is a widower but I cannot find a previous marriage for him ,any help greatly appreciated,any one help? Please
