Thanks, Slowhands. The information you have given is all correct. In answer to your question, I have looked for an earlier marriage for Caleb, but not found one.
I don't know if he was widower on his marriage to Ruth Kear as I have not seen the marriage certificate.

Evidence I do have about Caleb, he was left 2 houses, some outhouses and Garden in Bream, in his father Samuel's Will. ( I have a copy). Samuel died in 1892.
