Danny, me thinks...the Joseph you have as a son of John and Maria, bpt 1839 may actually be son of John Meredith (c1799-1801, from census 1841/51) and Elizabeth (possibly Okey) (c1802-1806)as that is only record I can find of Joseph Meredith on parish records. This John was also a collier and had some children with same names as John and Maria, (Isabella, Philip and Anne that I have found so far. Please correct me if I am wrong.
