With an "at last" feeling I obtained a copy birth certificate for the Wilce/Dickman family Raymond, only to find it is not the Raymond for which I am looking.

Unfortunately, I do not know the mothers family name and while Raymond was brought up in Monmouth and I favour the idea that he was born in Monmouth, he might have been born in any of the border counties.
