my family are there too
i am jane daughter of douglas, second son of raymond
raymond was born in 1896 married to ruth nee adams
ray and ruth had 6 children
cecil douglas mary colin barbara and eric
i am interested in john and catherine burns...i assume grandparents of my grandad came to gloucester from cork...famine ?...know little of my gandmother....a daughter of a forester....her brothers went to south africa and canada. she went into service in cardiff and married my grandad
eric died young at 14 i think just after the second world war
raymond died way back in 1970 when i was about 14...gran in about 1993....my dad went in 1999 and cecil a few years later....mary and colin and barbara are still alive mary 90 colin 89 and barbara 88
there are a mountain of granchildren and great grand kids too
i have other forest connections through my mum´s sister´s husband who was a beddis

This thread has been on the back burner for a while ( the Ancestry howlers did not help !). It was the recent YEMM of Plump Hill that spurred me on. Given that these locations are less than a mile apart , seems they "must" be related ? and then the Timothy Boseley thread came back on radar :-)

Slowhands, Thank you for the posting. I had not previously known that Emanuel ever used a surname other than Yemm. It was not until the 1870s and later that the switch to Bosley or Boseley became widespread for his descendents. See the Timothy Bosley posting for more info.
