Thank you all. It's very much appreciated. I've inherited the Victorian family album, sadly only my great grandfather is named and I've had some success and it's great fun delving into the past.

Here is a baptism at Ross on Wye * I think this child died - as there is another one registered in 1876 in Westbury on Severn - again mother's maiden name: MITCHELL

The BNA Gloucester Citizen - Thursday 13 November 1884 – records an Administration Order being granted, at Newnham County Court, to Henry TAYLOR, hairdresser and photographer, Cinderford, debts £28 10s 7d. He was ordered to pay 15s in the pound at 8s per month. I can’t find any mention of him after this date.

I've been trying to date an old photograph. There is a stamp on the back which says:H. Taylor. Photographer. High Street. Cinderford. I can't find it in Kelly's or on the online list of VIctorian photographers. The photograph is prob pre 1890 and I wondered if anyone had heard of H.Taylor.
