During my research I have come across (on Ancestry) the Bishop Transcript for Westbury on Severn. The burial records between (1784-1794 ) show a huge jump in the incident of pauper or poor burials. I know there was change in the Poor Law around this time and was wondering if this might have changed the category of a pauper etc. or was there another reason for this to occur. As it was not the original record maybe it was the difference between the church personnel?

Any suggestions welcomed from this amazing forum.
