Help!/Advice!

[I'm trying to trace my Blood father's court order/agreement for child maintenance. I was born In Chepstow (Ia Mounton Road) in 1944, at the Hospital for un-wed mothers.

I hope you can help. Is there any way through the courts, that I can find out who he was? He had to pay my mother child maintenance of 10/- back in the year of 1944, and there must be some record of this somewhere. Any idea who I should approach to get this information?

I only having his surname, and him being born in Tredegar, (I'm led to believe). My mother was widowed at the time, when she met my father, who incidentally, was already married, and his wife told my mother to ''Take him to Court''.

My mother was living in Tintern at the time of my birth, and then moved to Sedbury. Having just my mothers name and my date of birth to search for him, is it possible? Or will he remain a mystery? I am guessing he will be passed away by now, but I would like to find any Siblings/family I may have, on his side who I think would be "Aware" of me.

I would appreciate your help or advice, if you could help me in this matter.
By the way his name is not on my birth certificate.
Thanks...
