When researching posts for this forum with Australian links I've often been impressed by the amount of data freely-available, particularly from their Trove website.
It seems that the future of this National database is in doubt due to funding cuts, so if anyone is planning to research their links Down Under it may be prudent to do it sooner rather than later.
