Edith PREEST nee SHEAF 1877 -1940 Bengeworth and Bream (reply)

A bit of misc info, Bengeworth is the correct name for the area of Evesham, to south of river. Some records for Bengeworth are recorded in the Parish of Hampton another area of Evesham. There has been considerable movement of Parish line of Hampton, Bengeworth and Fairfield areas over the years. There are still members of Preest family line in Evesham, I lived in Bengeworth in late 1950's. If visiting Bengeworth Church note that there are ruins of the old church in Church Street about 400yds from "new" church.

Edith PREEST nee SHEAF 1877 Bengeworth and Bream (reply)

Thanks so much. The Edith Preest that William Allen Dale married was born 15-12-1918, but this is sure to be a Preest relative. http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=41012 It could well be whom she was named for.

Very useful info.
