In 2007 several months after I had first posted my query for the BARNETT family of COBREY, I received an email from an English relative, who also connected me to another relative in the Uk
These two were descended from one son of Henry and Ann BARNETT who emigrated to the West Indies. My ancestor emigrated to Victoria, Australia.
Thanks to Forest of Dean website we were in touch after a break of 150 years

Cobrey has been an estate since the Middle Ages. It was bought by Henry Barnett in 1813; he built the present mansion. The estate covered 324 acres in 1849; no park was laid out, but there were many trees
