I have no idea about the fire which Mr Hoskins, in his book, tells us was done by Cromwell's men. Mr Hoskin's reference to the characters in his book was those living there during the 1900s. Like you, I hope nobody was killed.

I have a book titled "Too Soon out of The Oven", Memories of Woolaston, by L. Hoskins.

On page 3 he writes, 'Burnt House Farm, Woolaston, where some of my characters congregated was burned down by Oliver Cromwell's men....'

Hi Gordon, pardon my ignorance or lack of understanding, are you suggesting the Farm was deliberately burnt with people still inside it ?. I do hope not but... ?

I think that there were Worgans along the line in my family, I'll check it out.

The book is probably out of print but worth a Google
