My suspicion is that he is from St George / Hanham Bristol
near the Gloucestershire / Somerset border
and on the old Coal field. Air Balloon Hill, St George
Bristol would be a good fit if the suspicion is true.

All I know is that he was either born in Somerset or Monmouthshire his daughter Gertie ralph married a Cinderford boy George Gazzard and as for the rest of the family I have hit that good old brick wall

I wonder if any one can shed any light for me on Joseph Ralph and his wife Margaret Merridith and their family
Margaret was born 1859 in Maes Teg, Glamorgan as for Joseph i have come across conflicting dates and places depending on which census I look at I have a choice of either 1856 Somerset or 1859 Monmouthshire according to Gertie Ralph marriage certificate he had died by 1914
I know they had 4 children (Gertrude Ralph who I know about)
Charlotte Ann Ralph 1881 Blaenavon Monmouthshire I am led to believe she married three times.
Joseph Alfred Ralph June 1887 Abergaveny Monmouthshire i have found a marriage for a Alfred Ralph and Louisa Bowen in swansea 1907 ,
Edmund Ralph March 1895 Bedwelty Monmouthshire
Other than this I have hit that good old brick wall
Any help very much appriciated
