Thank you for your reply, how nice to hear the church is being restored, it is very beautiful in a lovely setting. I have not got a photograph of Mary's gravestone as the churchyard was very overgrown when I visited last.

Thank you again.

Regards

MORGAN family Courtfield Estate Welsh Bicknor (reply)

In 1990 Mary Vaughan wrote a book entitled 'Courtfield and the Vaughans'. I don't know where you live, but it may be worth asking at your local library whether they have a copy of this book, it may or may not have information regarding your ancestors.
Also this link takes you to the Archive Network Wales,
www.archivesnetworkwales.info
If you click on 'personal names' on the home page then click on 'V' and scroll the Vaughans you will see 'Vaughans of Courtfield'. They hold quite a lot of Records regarding Courtfield it may be worth contacting them to see if they have the information you require.

MORGAN family Courtfield Estate Welsh Bicknor

I am trying to research the Morgan family:- Edward Morgan my Great Grandfather was a Gamekeeper on the Courtfield Estate, Welsh Bicknor for the Vaughan family. My Grandfather James Joseph was a Gamekeeper on the Bishopswood Estate he married my Grandmother Emily Davies 1892 at Ross. He was 25 years and she was 20 years old.I know he had a brother John. I would be grateful for any information.
