I have a Hester Preddy who was married to a William Hewlett in 1802 at Westbury. I am descended from the Hewlett line. I have found a Hester PREDETH, born in 1782 in Newent that could be the same, although I notice that a lot of researchers have her marked down as dying the next year in 1783. So far I cannot confirm categorically that they are the same person. According to my records Hester and William Hewlett had Phoebe, William, George and Elizabeth between 1803 and 1812. William dies in 1812. I then have Hester marrying a James Broben in 1821, but not before bearing two illegitmate children by him (Thomas, 1815 and John 1820). Hester finally dies in December 1872.

Interested if anyone else has info on Hester Preddy.

Thanks for previous info. I think now that Bertha boughton's maiden name was brain and that she married a tom boughton. In turn i think toms parents were john boughton and sophia but cannot get back further than this. Any help would be great. Also i believe that bertha's parents were Charles and Mary Brain.
