I am also intersted in James Mountjoy and Maria Blake married at Newland in 1801. My wife can trace her line through another of their sons, Thomas born in 1809.His grandson moved to South Wales, which is where my wife, his great grand daughter was born and lived until recently. She is now re-connecting with her earlier roots in the forest. However, despite checking various parish registers we cannot trace back beyond 1801. In your searches have you found any traces? I would be delighted to hear from you.
