I can't answer the question on where Frederick John and Sarah Ann Harris (formerly Screen) lived. They seem to have dodged the 1939 register. But they are buried together in Blakeney Parish Burial Ground - grave R26 - black marble headstone on a plinth with inset vase, white roses motif and inscription in gold incised letters reading - In / loving memory / of / Frederick John Harris / died 21 Dec. 1963 / aged 70 years / also of his dear wife / Sarah Ann Harris / died 1 Jan. 1966 / aged 63 years / reunited.

If you look under Resources in the main heading - this gives you thousands of births/marriages and deaths etc - and also the ability to search for witnesses to marriages.

Without going into detail, from the records on this website

Albert & Hannah SCREEN - had

Sarah Ann - 1901
Gertrude Mary - 1903
Gladys - 1906 - twice
Albert Edward - 1912
Daisy - 1912

The last two - Albert and Daisy - (Albert the father occupation was a Road Labourer).

My x Grandad William WICKENDEN - was living just up the Hill at Nibley Mill - and as he bred Shire Horses and had carts etc. listed as a Haulier and Farmer 1911 census - he was involved in laying many roads around Blakeney - as he was able to collect the stones from various quarries etc. and did work at times for the Urban District Council.

Screen Family

Hi, Im am a relative of the Screen Family, my maternal Grandmother, Gertrude Screen, born 1905, lived in Blakeney as a child. Her family are registered on the 1911 census as living at New Road, but no other details. She went to Blakeney Baptist church Sunday School. Her sister Sarah Ann Screen married Frederick John Harris and they lived somewhere in the area, I remember staying with them as a child and it was a small house in the forest, maybe Lydbrook or Blakeney? I am researching the family tree, as my mother Phyllis (daughter of Gertrude) died recently.
Any local information would be really helpful. Thanks. Pauline
