Lionel R. Rose - Ruardean 1970's

Hi I wonder if anyone out there can help or perhaps point me in the right direction?

We met Lionel R. Rose while on holiday at Butlins in the early 70's. We became good freinds over the holiday and my mum kept asking what he did for a living and all he replied was he would wear his working clothes on Friday. The day duly arrived and he arived at the breakfast table wearing the unmistakable shirt and collar of a clergyman. He was a terrific guy, and we very much enjoyed the company of his entire family, wife Vicky and two little girls.

Harry's nick name for me at the time was O'Ell! and he actually officiated on the day of our wedding. The reason for my enquiry here is at the time 1975 he was Rector of Ruardean. We lost touch not long after that, but we think of him often.

Here's hoping?

Thanks in anticipation

Tina
