morning paul thank you for your help. I did a posting before for George Hayward. and several people came up with this George. who unfortunately. turned out to be the wrong George.it seems as if he don't want to be found. best wishes lyn

thank you so much for your time mike. I do have a marriage certificate for George's marriage. and it states George Hayward there's no middle name of William. but his father was George. it's not because I know Hayward is a very common name it that part of the world. best wishes. lyn

I think the 1851 census entry reads Gloster (i.e. the county), Gloucester

There are a number of George HAYWARD's born around 1821 on the Gloucestershire Family History Discs.

There is on the 1841 census at Prestbury, Gloucestershire

hi could anyone help. I've hit a brick wall. looking for George Hayward c1821. the 1851 census states that he came from glanester Gloucester. but I'm unable to get any futher. I can't seem to find anything for glanester. any ideas. thanks lyn
