Thank you again. I did have already the birth reg of John Thyne (my gt grandfather) however it was nice to see it again and know that it actually exists. The site you suggested on Limerick is very interesting and I see a lot of Ryan's listed, that was my maiden name. The photos of the countryside looked great. Now back to Thyne, if I could find the birth or bapistm record of Daniel Thyne the first born of John and Ellen it might lead me to a marriage record or at least an area in which to look.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have a birth certificate for John junior (my gt grandfather) and for Michael, also for Margaret Bridget who was born in Winterbourne. Have a death certificate for John senior.

Have you been able to find Birth certs for the Children ?

This might give you a better pointer to where the parents married ( or if the mother is not Ellen)

Marriage for Thyne / Kerin

Have been busy looking for the marriage of John Thyne and Ellen Kerin in Ireland about 1860. However I am now wondering if they married in or around Gloucester, about 1870 when they arrived in Winterbourne where their last child was born in 1871. Can't seem to find them on any of the BDM sites. Any help appreciated. Thank you
