Hello again!
found him.
Thomas Edward Smith (Tom) b1860 in west Dean where he appears in the 1861,1871,1881, 1891 census for the area. married Mary Fox Corin in Feb 1892 at Coleford' then still in West dean for the 1901 census.I can now concentrate on HIS parents.....possibly EDWARD 1820 and ELIZABETH 1832 of Coalway lane end West Dean.
Birth certificates are so much help with such a common name aren't they?

Yes this is Grandma!
I am ordering her birth cert today and then hopefully will have her parents names which will enable me to look them up on the cenus. thank you for your kindness.....its great when fellow researchers chip in and help each other
