Joseph DAVIS marrried Elizabeth MAYOE/MAYO
on 26th November 1761 at Much Marcle.
I am still struggling to find Elizabeth. Even family free search have nothing. So obviously she died Elizabeth Davis. Joseph seemed to have been buried at Yatton?
I've come back to this site to do more research. Others have benefited from your site and the information and help you gave. Thank you, Keith Davis.

Record 139638 is actually a marriage by Banns of George Davis & Mary Davis on 15 April 1738.
Joseph Davis the base son of Mary is baptised on 18 Jan 1738. The only Mary of the right age born in Much Marcle is Mary dau of Thomas & Ann baptised 3 November 1710, so she is probably the mother. It seems likely that George is the father since they married 3 months later but this is difficult to prove.

Thanks to this site I've been able to discover much more
about my ancestors in the surrounding area.
I've got record 139638, 1738 Banns of George Davis and Mary.
Again in Much Marcle. I have the baptism of Joseph Davis, mother
Mary. Record 355889, baptism before the above event. Is there
a possibility that they are my Joseph's parents? I would be
grateful for any help. I was very lucky to go back another
2 generations. With great help from kind members on this
great site. Thank you, Keith Davis.
