William Bullock, Westbury on Severn area early C20th (reply)

Looking for local Deaths of "William Bullock" on FreeBMD, I think this is the best fit.

Surname First name(s) Age District Vol Page
Deaths Mar 1931 (>99%)
Bullock William 75 Westbury S. 6a 410

I cannot find a corresponding record within the FoD PRs.

You probably know that until 1935 the "W-o-S District" included most of the eastern half of the FoD.
https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/westbury%20on%20severn.html

However the GlosBMD entry confirms this particular record does actually relate to a death in the general locality of Westbury on Severn village itself.

Death Details
Surname Given Names Age Year Died District Register Entry
BULLOCK William 75 1931 Westbury on Severn, Newnham (from 1893) 8 153

Have you traced the whereabouts of his children after 1911 ?. If they stayed local then I expect William did as well.

???

PS Ooops, he is in the PRs, and in W-o-S village itself;
At that time Number 1 was still the old Workhouse building. This prior thread explains
https://forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=50162
This could of course mean that this particular Williamm Bullock was from another part of FoD, and not our man, as there were a fair few men of this name in the western Forest area....

???

William Bullock

I wonder if anyone can help with finding the death of William Bullock.

I have him born in 1860 in WOS, the son of Charles Bullock. In 1885 he marries Maria Portlock in Barnwood. In 1906 when his daughter Beatrice marries the father is listed as William Bullock deceased, and his wife remarries in 1911.

The last reporting I have of him is in the 1901 census where he is with his wife and children Arthur, Henry, Beatrice and Agnes at Gains Cottage, Canon From.

I realise I have posted this before but thought it was possible that new people would have joined or new information be available.

Thank you

June
