Hello. Yes, this is the Emma Morgan I am researching. By 1861 she is in Cheltenham working as a deomestic servant. Then she seems to disappear.

I should leave it but love a mystery!

I have 164 Cowmeadows in my Family Tree, including James Cowmeadow 1769/1821 & Mary Tingle 1789/1852. Neither are related to me but their children lead to Brain & Meek relatives.

I tend to follow siblings and parents of spouses and sometimes go too far. In this case I appear to have curbed my researches by noting in the notes field for John Morgan 1820 who married Hester Cowmeadow - Parents John & Hannah.

I also copied the census data posted on this web site for the family, in case they become related rather than connected due to subsequent findings and need to be researched further.

I would like to hear from anyone who has information about Emma Morgan born 1845, Ruardean. Her parents were John Morgan 1820 and Hester Cowmeadow 1817. I have details for Emma's brother and 2 sisters but have drawn a blank for Emma herself.

In 1861, I believe that she can be found in Cheltenham, working as a domesetic servant. I have tried to follow up a couple of possible marriages but there is nothing on the 1871 census.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has been researching this branch of the Morgan family.
