Lots of snippets/ memories

Finally managed to get my father(80) who is now in ill health on to the internet via dial up, so that I could share this site with him.

We spent a couple of hours last night browsing the albums

Every now and then I got an excited dad recalling different things which I quickly jotted down

He recalls his Aunt and Uncle in 2 pubs, Point Inn at Plump Hill and the Seven Stars at Cinderford, possible in the 30's 40's
They were Edie and Thomas Burgham

He is Harold Ireland (North Rd Broadwell)but he recalls another family of Irelands(Barn Hill Lane End)
Daisy, Harold, Cecil and Ernie. These I would love to trace.

Looking at another picture of CJ Smith milkman he recalls EJ SMith Grocery Shop in Coleford next to the Angel pub

he remember Birt Stores

He said Watkins Engineering of Sling was originally a scrapyard that grew into the business

He remembers Mrs Higg sweet shop in Broadwell

and he asks if Newland Oak tree is still there and the Buckstone
