Thanks for the Aston site link, at first glance very interesting, also lots of other Forest surnames eg Watkins too. I've been researching my brother-in-law's Aston line so hopefully that will help me too. Personally I've not got back anything like as far as the 1600s, I've found it difficult enough spotting & tracing my Victorian Astons in amongst all the others. Also at the moment I'm very happy trying to learn as much as I can about our Aston ancestor's personal lives and the area in which they lived during the 1800s before I try to go further back in time.
