Without the marriage certificate which took place in 1902 - think this is probably the best bet - as Gertrude seems to run in the family and according to the 1911 census, Alfred HALE - says he was born in Broadwell Coleford

I am trying to find information regarding Alfred Hale as above. He was married to Annie Elizabeth Rook and their children, according to the 1911 census, were Gladys, Gertrude, Elizabeth Anne and Mary Ann. Although I can find information on his marriage to Annie but nothing on his birth etc. I believe he is in some way connected to Ben Hale b 1875, but cannot see the connection other than Annie Elizabeth Rook being Ben's half sister. Help appreciated.
