Harry Lambert Howell, died WW1, enlisted Lydney

Am trying to find out more on this soldier.

War graves record shows:
http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=871482

Gloucester regiment museum website says he was born in Welshpool and enlisted in Lydney. I have found his birth entry on FreeBMD (Jan 1893), have also found him on the 1901 census, living in Lancashire.

Am now trying to find his connection to Lydney, I assume he was living there or somewhere in the Forest when he enlisted.

My starting point was the 1911 census but I can't seem to find him anywhere on there.

Any help much appreciated.

Tim.
