I think the photo is taken on Forestry Commission land somewhere between Cinderford and Wigpool, this being the area that dad worked on for the Commission.
The Forest Ranger he reported to had his office at Wigpool, and thats the area that was covered from there.
I assume that the girls are part of the war effort, but don't know if they were land girls or jills. It would be nice to know some names.
