Thanks for the details of George Maynard Marfell's death and burial, which I assume is 2005. Thanks too for the Order of Service for Betty emailed separately.

I am not sure where you are going with this posting or the reason behind it, but I have emailed you separately some Marriage & Death certificates for those mentioned in my reply, plus gravestone images.

To assist with this and any future enquiries for the Marfell family, I have sent you three spreadsheets Marfell - Birth, Death & Marriage, with details of all Marfell registrations from 1837 to 2005, detailing parents - spouse etc. as appropriate.

From this you will see on the Birth Reg spreadsheet that George Royston Marfell was the son of Ambrose Marfell & Maude Betty Knight.

The reg for George Maynard :

1925 3rd qtr George Maynard Westbury 6a 471 Parents Horlick Maynard & Rose Harris

The odd thing is that whilst I have the spreadsheets updated to 2005 - by perusing the originals in Islington London (now Kew), it did not include George Maynard's death in 2005.

I am not sure what prompted this posting but with a Marfell involvement, I have as you will guess some information here.

But firstly as ever with one of your postings I have gained something from your information. I didn't previously know that the wife of Walter Samuel Drinkwater was Ada Gibbs and as an added bonus she is already in my family tree as her sister Elizabeth Mary Gibbs married my 6th cousin once removed William Stanley Dubberley.

Although I have the gravestone image for Betty Megan Drinkwater including date of death, I didn't previously know the date of burial.

I have her marriage certificate - 31st March 1945 to my 3rd cousin once removed George Maynard Marfell 1925. They had 7 children and I have marriage and offspring details for each.

George Maynard Marfell was the son of Horlick Maynard Marfell 15 Oct 1894/20 Dec 1969 & Rose Harris 1895/13 Oct 1953. I have their marriage certificate - 26 Nov 1921 Forest Church, and their gravestone image - but not date of burial........

Horlick Maynard Marfell was one of the 12 children of Oliver Marfell 1863/6 Dec 1951 & Sarah Ann Smart 1868/1 Dec 1940, Sarah Ann Smart's mother was Sarah Ann Marfell 1835.

I have a number of contacts who are descendants of the above who will also be observing thi posting with interest.
