Faulkes and Baldwin (reply)

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

Do you have any information on Richard and Maria Faulkes have a son George in 1858 at Lydbrook. I have this info but I am confused as Mother is stated as Maria, but father is listed as James Faulkes. I am wondering if Maria married Richards brother James?

Thank you
Regards Carol

Bailey Pound (reply)

Hello,
I have a marriage certificate for Richard Faulkes marriage to Maria Baldwin at Holy Trinity church, Forest of Dean, 9th February, 1846. Richard's Father Joseph, a Farmer, Maria's Father a Woodsman. Their residence is given as Bailey, Pound.
Would anybody know where Bailey, Pound is or how near it is to the church Holy Trinity at Drybrook, Gloucestershire, as I hope to visit this area of Gloucester on my ancestor trail.
My initial findings is that Bailey could be a tiny hamlet and that Pound could be the name of a Farm?
Also would like to hear from fellow researchers in the family names of Faulkes or Baldwin.

Thank you
