Thanks for that very quick response! There's something funny here because Clara Ellen was his mother - I wonder if when it says Widow it means she was a widow (she was by then), not Joseph's widow? There were so many Bowketts in Pauntley that it gets a bit confusing!

I am trying to find a date of death for Joseph Stanley Bowkett. He was born 19 March 1891 in Pauntley and buried 23 September 1950 in Pauntley churchyard. I wonder if anyone has access to records of dates of death? He didn't marry and have any family and his great-niece wants to put up a memorial to him as his grave has never had one.
