Samuel SELWYN /Elizabeth JONES marry WoS 1806 (reply)

One witness at the wedding was Sarah SELWYN - and again two baptisms of a Sarah at Westbury on Severn - parents (1775) Jacob & Mary and also (1780) John & Mary.

If Sarah c1780 never married, there is a burial at Westbury on Severn in 1835 - aged 55 c1780

Another witness at the wedding was William VENES

William VYNES was a witness at at Wedding in Awre 5 September 1813 of Henry BOULTON *** to Martha JONES.

It is worth using the Advance Search for witness at wedding to try and form family connections.

(Samuel SELWYN and Elizabeth SELWYN were witnesses at a wedding of James COOK (Widower) to Elizabeth SELWYN at Flaxley in 1826.

*** possibility this could be BOUGHTON - as there is a marriage 1834 of a George WAYMN to Susanna SELWYN - 6 January 1834 and a Charles BOUGHTON/Elizabeth SELWYN are witnesses.

Samuel SELWYN /Elizabeth JONES marry WoS 1806

I am trying to trace the family details of Samuel Selwyn and Elizabeth Jones who were married at Westbury on 6 September 1806. Unfortunately there are no details of either's parents on their marriage record and as there are baptism records for 2 Samuel Selwyns in 1776 and 1777(I have discounted the third entry of the son of Samuel and Deborah who died in 1776)I would be grateful for any information which would clarify if my Samuel was the son of John and Mary or of Jacob and Mary. Similarly I would like any additional information on Elizabeth's family and when she died.
Many thanks
Colin Jones
