Pete is correct in that a lot of Foresters in WW1 war ended up in different regiments. My grandfather joined the Glosters at the age of 40+ and within days had been transferred to the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry in Bodmin. Try looking for the war record on line. Whilst a lot of WW1 records were lost during WW11 some still remain. Bob
