I'm afraid it needs a visit to Colindale. Underground station nearby. Cold searching no good either, one could spend years and find nothing. However, if you have a specific event that took place in the Forest and search forward from the date of it for a week or so, then you may well find something. I certainly did quite easily. Don't forget the Lydney Observer, that covered the Forest too and probably still does.
