LANE END, St Briavels (General)

by slowhands, proud of his ancient Dean Forest roots, (5092 days ago) @ whitecroft1946

I have seen a reference in Parish Records for 1815 to a residence being 'Hundred of St Briavels (Lane End)'. Another referred to Lane End in Newland. Was Lane End a common address or does this refer to one particular place? If so, does anyone know exactly where it was/is?

Lane End is a ribbon of land/settlement to the east of Coleford

you may also see Coalway Lane End, Broadwell Lane End etc
