William James Broucher was born on Gloucestershire in about 1836.Upon his marriage in 1861 he states he is illegitimate.He went on to become a Master mariner & drowned in the Mersey aboard the "Charles & Ann" on 19 Feb 1877.His birthplace is supposed to be Fretherne, Glos.Where on earth is this?
