Wounded Soldiers in WW1 - Pte S BROOKES (General)
As we approach Remembrance Sunday we perhaps think of those relatives who we know sacrificed their lives for "King & Country"
However we may not know so much about some of those who were wounded and survived. I have brief details on a number of men, the first being
Pte. S. BROOKES
2nd Glo'ster Regt., "gassed" on May 2nd 1915 in France.
He enlisted on Jan. 7, 1915. and was sent to France in March.
Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs F. BROOKES, Ashleworth Lane, Hartpury.
