Hi Jenny, my name is Huw Davies and I am from Resolven near Neath in South Wales. I have been looking to find some information on my grandmothers family as no-one in the family seems to have much info at all, it would be nice to find some distant cousins out there. My grandmother was Annie Simmonds from Lydbrook and I believe that she had a sister called Harriet and I think there is a possibility that your grandfather/great grandfather John may have been her brother. I believe that the family moved to Aberdare where Annie met my grandfather and started their own family.
