In the photos the Picture of Cinderford High Street 1930's shows a Butcher's
shop with a gentleman in a striped apron. There is a name above the shop but I cannot read it, - can anyone tell me the name of the shop please.

Great to see all the photos Slowhands has put on. I was particularly interested in the old Severn Bridge as my great-great grandfather. Samuel Bush, from Framilode on the other side of the River was drowned when his barge Industry hit one of the piers in 1898. He was carrying forty tons of stone for the flood defences.

The first word is Eastmans and the second possibly Limited. A long established nationwide firm of butchers.

Mitcheldean Town Hall
Mike Gwilliam has sent us a recent picture of Mitcheldean Town Hall. I have
joined this picture with the old picture Slowhands sent us so you can see a
comparison of the Town Hall as the years have gone by.
Thank you (I was hoping it might be W.H. Vaughan)
