Did you have any other info about Harold Winston Beard, born c. 1908? I wonder if he is identical to a distant relative of mine.

One Harold Beard married Florence Salcombe of Lydney, I would say around the 1940s, and they had a son, Peter. Florence (known as Flo) and Peter were living in the early fifties at 29 Albert Street, Lydney, along with Flo's mother Ivy (or Evelyn Ivy) Salcombe nee Sterry/Sterrey. Ivy's sister Frances Essex nee Sterrey was my paternal grandmother.

I have hardly any knowledge of Harold Beard apart from that, and apart from a vague recollection that his relatives didn't have much to do with him after some sort of financial issue.

John Thomas Beard c 1861 Lydney, Married Mary Ann (unknown) c 1867 Lydbrook.
and had Harris c 1888, William Edward c 1890,
/Frances Eva c 1892, Alfred Thomas c 1894, and Albert Stanley c 1896. All born in Lydbrook.
also Josiah Beard born 01 Jan 1879, all I know is that in 1901 census he was working for, and living with his brother, Albert Edward (a Grocer) and Fanny Kate Beard in Lydney.
If anyone out there is related to me through Albert Edward Beard that would be great to hear too!

Hi Varian,

I have John Thomas born 1860 Newerne, Lydney, Albert Edward born 1864 Newerne Lydney who married Fanny Hyett, Eva born 1866 Lydney and died in 1876, Frances born the Factory, Lydney in 1867 and Harry also born at the Factory Lydney in 1869.

My grandmother was Cora Edwards born 1884 who married Paul Brown. She was the daughter of Samuel Edwards born 1859, so I guess this makes us cousins.

Samuel Beard born 1829, was brother of my greatgrandfather Thomas Edwards Beard, born 1835. Thomas' son Albert Edward Beard born 1864 my grandfather,and Stanley Silvey Beard born 1897 my father.
Do you have any detail of spouses of Thomas's other children?
