Royal Albert Inn, -> Royal Foresters perhaps (reply)

I do not recognise the Royal Albert, but expect to find both the Royal Forester and the Royal Oak in the Lea Bailey returns on Littledean Hill

Of the two the Royal Oak was closer to Hinders Lane..and next door to Anne Teague is a Hugh Williams, Inn keeper, who perhaps is running the Royal Oak.

Royal Oak, Littledean Hill Road

A housing estate in Littledean Hill Road was built on what was known as Oak Field.
The Royal Oak was demolished as part of a road widening scheme.

            1856 H. Williams
1881 Hubert Evans
1885 George Gwinnel
1939 William Macey

Leaving Anne Teague perhaps running the "Royal Foresters", near the junction with Causeway Road

Royal Foresters, 104 Littledean Hill Road

The Royal Foresters is still successfully trading and enjoys fine view
over the Severn towards Gloucester and beyond to the Cotswold Hills.
It had an annual rateable value of £25 in 1891 and 1903 and was a rare
outlet for Alton Court Brewery of Ross on Wye.

Royal Albert Inn, Little Dean Woodside, Lea Bailey

This entry appears on the 1861 census with widow Anne Teague being the inn keeper. Does anyone know the exact location of this pub, or whether its name was changed at a later date?
