Alfred SPACKMAN 1866 Parkend (reply)

Hi Beth

I know you posted this some time ago, however I hope you are still connected to this forum. My great great grandparents were Richard and Isabella Speckman, Richard is Alfred's brother and one of Richards sons was named after Alfred. I would love a copy of the memorial card if you still have it. If you receive this message my email is sara at b2bsales.com.au if you could scan and email a copy to me it would be most appreciated. Thanks Sara

Richard SPACKMAN 1862 Bream Eaves (reply)

I also have Richard and Isabella (shown as Dick and Bellie) on the 1911 census if you would like a copy my email is sara at b2bsales.com.au, Richard and Isabella were my great great grandparents. I haven't researched much past them yet on Richards side so I will have a closer look at the information you have posted. It's great to have sites like this to look at as I am in Australia which makes it a bit hard to travel to local sites in the UK to look at documents etc.

Alfred SPACKMAN 1866 Parkend (reply)

ALFRED SPACKMAN's Memorial Card was among papers of my late mother-in-law whose roots are deep in the Forest. Her grandparents WILLIAM HAWKINS and ELIZABETH born MORGAN (traced back to 18thC) lived at The Barracks, Mosley Green, so the SPACKMANS were obviously neighbours. Anyone trying to find them though will have difficulty with those - as you indicate - imaginative transcriptions! So I hope the card will eventually be of use to someone.
