Where or what is Tomerlin (reply)

Mike, thanks very much. Those old maps are very difficult to read. I've pulled out a street atlas of Gloucestershire and found a small housing estate between Cockshoot Wood and Yorkley. One of the roads in that estate is called Tomlin Place. I wonder if this may be a reference to the same place.

Where or what is Tomerlin (reply)

The best I can do is a place called Tomlin, shown on this map.

https://maps.nls.uk/view/101453691

Look in the top left corner just below Cockshoot Wood. It’s not far from Parkend or Oldcroft.

Where or what is Tomerlin

My ancestor Ann Fisher was baptised at St Paul, Parkend in January 1826. The register shows the family abode as TOMERLIN. Does anyone know what or where this is?
