1871 Census shows a WW dob abt. 1829 living at Coalway Lane End which is likely to be my ggranfather.
We will keep looking and pass on any (hopefully) relevant information

The age(no dob) on her mc does not accord with family recollections of her age when she died.
From the 1871 Census we found a WW dob abt. 1829 living in Coalway Lane End but cannot find any other records.
She was living in Gloucester at the time of the marriagebu only for a short period.
Any guidance of where to look for Coalway/Newland? records would be appreciated.

William Williams is my husband's ggg grandfather but since we have been researching we have realised that there were many William Williams in the Forest. We are still researching but this is what we have found to date:

William Williams b circ 1795 Llanrothal, Herefordshire (in some census Monmouthshire)
Baptised 8 Mar 1795 Newton, Herefordshire (IRG - assuming this is the correct one)
Married Phoebe Cooper, widow (nee Phoebe Hewlett) 8 March 1819, Newlands, Gloucestershire

Children
Sarah Williams baptised 20 February 1820, Newnham
Louisa Williams baptised 30 December 1821, Newnham
Mary Williams baptised 25 April 1824, Newnham
William Williams baptised 23 November 1828, Newnham

We know that the Williams family lived at Soudley as the census from 1841 to 1871 indicates. My husband is descended from Louisa who married Samuel Hewlett of the White Horse, Soudley. We do not know what became of Louisa's brother William and I have not yet been able to find any information about him. He may be the one you are looking for. I would be grateful for further information about our Williams family. This may help.

What age does she declare on the Marriage cert ?

Is Fathers full name and occupation given ?

Where was she living at that time ?

I am trying to obtain information about my great grandfather William
Wiliams and his daughter Kathleen Williams.
I do not have any precise dates of birth etc.
We have found a record of a birth about 1829, he lived in Coalway
and I know he died before 1916.
Kathleen was born between 1875 and 1885. I have found her 1916
marriage certificate but no earlier information.
We have found a number of Kathleen Williams' in Monmouth District
records but do not know enough to select possible people.
I live in Scotland but we plan a visit to the Forest this year and to
devote time to the search.
I should be grateful for any guidance to assist my enquiries.
