Sorry this response is 14 years late, but did you find out much about James Inman? I came across someone of that name while researching the history of our pub - the Fountain Inn at Parkend. James Inman was employed as the publican here in 1853, and served until at least 1857 (possibly as late as 1859). Is there anything in your research to suggest this may be the same person?

nothing slow about you, cant thank you enough,this tree is really coming together now,over a 1000 years of history,in all the family that we have connected together,my father in law T.Inman Chappell,is well over the moon,
he is lost for words and never thought his family were as big as this.i owe the forest of dean family history site one.Cant get any better than this.

I guess James married a Sarah from Bewdley (Kidderminster then live in Birmingham ?), daughter Mary Ann 1836, Sarah dies( pre 1841) and James remarries Eliza.
