I am descended from Richard Nash's younger brother Thomas Nash born 1855 and married Elizabeth Archer in 1881. I have a house on the plot of land held by Mary Jones (Richard Nash's mother) in Clements Tump. I would be interested in joining the Nash family group but yahoo.com are the yahoo.groups machinery is not letting me join.

Richard and Elizabeth Nash at Clements End in 1881 are on my Nash tree. Richard (born in 1853 at Clearwell Meend, died 1907) was the son of James Nash (1815-1887) and Mary Jones (abt 1817-1879). Elizabeth (born 1853 at Drybrook, 1928) was the daughter of Job Nash (1826-after 1891) and Ann Unknown (about 1828-1868).

Elizabeth and Richard were distant cousins… she descended from my gggg-grandfather John Nash (born abt 1776); he descended from John’s brother Richard (born abt 1779).

Incidentally, a group of us are actively researching the family trees of these two lines on the “Nashes of the Forest of Dean” family history forum on Yahoo Groups at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nash_fod/ .

We have had a few descendents of other Nash families join us online. You’re welcome to join us!

Trying to work out if these are my Nash relations or not. Could anyone with access to the 1891 census kindly have a quick look for Richard and Elizabeth Nash? They're on the 1881 census living at Clements End with 3 children, Peter (6), Elizabeth (5) and Richard (2).

The piece of information I need to know is whether the 1891 census shows them as having a son, William Edward (my great-grandfather), born in about 1885.
