In the 1881 census Ellen E Clements aged 9 was living with William and Hannah B Catlin at Jubilee St Mile End Old Town London Middlesex. In 1891 she was back living in Dymock with her grandparents Thomas and Sarah Ann Spencer it was a second marriage for Sarah Ann her first marriage was to Henry Parry in about 1848/9 her maiden name was Jones.

I know nothing of William H Jones and Ellen after there marriage did they have children live locally any news would be welcome.

I'm erring on the side of it not being, since
a) why would Ellen return from London and live with her grandparents?
b) from a bit of digging in the parish record transcriptions, it looks like that Joseph's wife's maiden name was Parry, not Spencer and
c) I looked up the aunt's (Hannah B) marriage and her maiden name was Culverhouse. Which doesn't fit with Clements, Parry or Spencer!

I'm confused now - think it's birth certificate time...

Ellen was married to William Jones at St John's, Cinderford in February 1896, so if the London Ellen is Joseph & Elizabeth's daugher, she must have come home and met him at some point between 1881 and then.

Could someone with access kindly check the 1891 census and see if she's living in Dymock or London at that point?
